PhD Student
University of Chicago
I am a PhD Student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago. My work focuses on delegation decisions and the selection and management of unelected members of government. I employ the tools of causal inference to understand the political institutions relevant to appointees, civil servants, and government contractors.
I have a special interest in the US Federal Reserve, having worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for two years before beginning my Ph.D. There, my role was primarily in monetary policy communication. In addition, I published work on economic forecasting, immigration, and racial disparity. Before that, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina, where I received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Economics.
